Is the procedure for getting dental implants painful?

What will the recovery be like?

We take every measure to make sure that our patients are as comfortable as possible after the procedure, and antibiotics and pain medications are always prescribed. Patients generally report minimal discomfort. It is recommended to rest for 2-3 days and normal activities can be resumed after 1 week. A soft food diet is required as the implants heal.

How do I care for dental implants?

Most patients can use a water flosser for implant home care, but depending on the type of implants and the type of prosthetic, you will be provided with a customized care plan to ensure the longevity of your implants. All of our patients will be scheduled to follow up for professional in-office implant cleanings as needed.

For someone who’s a nervous wreak with the dentist in general. I never felt so comfortable through the whole process with the extractions I had to have done. Recovery was actually even better!
